The most beautiful car Mercedes ever built

There are cars, and then there's the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. With its iconic gullwing doors, the first series-produced fuel-injection engine, and a body that still takes your breath away, the 300 SL isn't just a car – it's a work of art.

From racing to road legend

The 300 SL debuted in 1952 as a race car, immediately winning the Carrera Panamericana and Le Mans. The road car followed in 1954 – the W198 Coupé with its characteristic gullwing doors, which weren't designed for aesthetic reasons but because of the tubular space frame that didn't allow for conventional doors. Coincidence became iconic.

Technical pioneering work

The 300 SL was the first production car with direct fuel injection – a technology found in almost every modern engine today. With 215 hp, it was the fastest production car in the world in 1954. Top speed: 260 km/h. In the fifties.

A legend for eternity

Today, well-preserved 300 SL Coupés fetch prices of over a million euros. But the true value isn't in the money – it's in what this car represents: courage, innovation, and timeless elegance. At Revøra, we honor this legend with the Mercedes 300 SL Tea.
